Position Description:
The Accountant applies knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financials reports, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Additional responsibilities include:

• Preparing journal entries and monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Supporting month-end, quarter end, and year end close process
• Processing monthly bank reconciliations
• Analyzing and preparing routine and ad hoc financial statements/statistical reports
• Conducting analytical reviews of financial results, including identifying factors driving variances
• Assisting with interim and year-end audits
• Preparing financial presentations for management, executive, Board of Directors
• Assisting with budget preparation

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university/college
• Five (5) years experience in the accounting field.
• Extensive background using Excel; proficient using pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, and a variety of advanced formulas and nesting formulas (a formula that uses the result of one calculation as an input for another calculation)
• Experiences with report building, data cubes, and MDX queries preferred

• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
• Ability to learn new software quickly
